Android Audio Quality Note:
Android OS resamples all streams to 48 kHz unless you have specific workarounds enabled (aka USB Audio Player Pro that supports Qobuz and Tidal pass through).
Edit: The Tidal APP implementation in Android gets around the 48 kHz resampling issue (is the only one that does this).
Streaming Quality Note:
*Not only MQA is basically snake oil, but it MQA Ltd. has gone into administration. In a recent AMA (ask me anything) Reddit session, Tidal CEO Jesse Dorogusker answered numerous queries about the company's future plans for MQA and hi-res audio. According to Dorogusker:
“We will be introducing hi-res FLAC for our HiFi Plus subscribers soon. It's lossless and an open standard.”
All APPs were tested on Android 13 (One UI 5.1)
